That said, the LCP Max dances circles around the G43 in my experience. The 43 is a bit of a dud in today's market… way snappier than it needs to be with a lower capacity-to-size ratio than is competitive. In 2015 it made sense as Glock's response to the M&P Shield, but in 2023 there's no real reason to buy it.

The LCP works great as a Backup, or a "when nothing else works" gun. The LC380 is essentially a Ruger LC9 that's been converted from 9mm to .380 ACP. It's a hair bigger than the Glock 42, but looks like a giant next to it's little brother, the Ruger LCP. For the budget-concious, the LC380 is about $100-150 less than the Glock, and at the price point, it's a pretty good deal.
