If i remember correctly the 10/63's were made out of surplus parts, whereas the 10's are new production parts. I bought a WASR10 about 8 or 9 years ago. It was about $150 cheaper than the SAR1. You used to be able to get the SAR 1,2 and 3 at any gun store.
