Blinking orange light on dell computer

Laptop is on when plugged in, while light flashing orange but still charging. Once I unplug it, the laptop shut down. Do I need to replace a new battery? Any advice would help. I got it checked out and was told my battery was at its end. Any suggestion on where I could buy a genuine replacement battery?
