The fellowship consists of an award, not exceeding $7,500, to be determined according to the requirements of the project and, in principle, requires extensive use of the facilities of the LBI in New York, particularly the David Baumgardt Collection. The fellowship should be used by the end of the year in which it was granted. The Leo Baeck Institute is a research, study, and lecture center and maintains an 80,000-volume library, archives, and art collection.
